Professional Goals
My goal is to use my skills in Digital Communication, Innovation and Project Management to help make the world a better place. As Jimmy Neil Smith said: "There isn’t a stronger connection between people than storytelling.” and I believe that social media has made it even easier for us to share our stories and build connections. I am passionate about ensuring that the work I do leaves a mark on the world, even in a small way.

THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF WALES
SAVING TREASURES, TELLING STORIES.
During my time on the Saving Treasures project, I was able to fully embrace the art of Mojo.
After a full day of historical lessons and fact finding, we were able to travel across South Wales to tell the stories of the treasures people had found, and we did it all with only the use of our phones.
Some of the stories are yet to go through the legal process so have not been published yet, but you can read the blog of our time at the Museum here.

BBC RADIO WALES
THE JAMIE OWENS SHOW
I was invited to be a guest assistant producer for Anthony O’Shaughnessy on the Jamie Owens Show on BBC Radio Wales.
I had the responsibility to look after and brief each guest on the show about their involvement, as well as assisting Anthony in whatever needed to be done to ensure the show ran smoothly.
This was my first experience as a producer, and also in a national news environment.

WESSEX FM
NEWS DESK
On my two week placement at Wessex FM, based in Dorset, I was able to put my radio broadcasting skills to the test.
I was able to write, record and produce radio news bulletins over the two week period. I even live-blogged a crucial Dorset County Council meeting on the stations twitter account.
It was the first time I had worked in a radio news room and the experience I gained here was invaluable to the progression of my skills.

LYME REGIS FOSSIL FESTIVAL
CARDIFF CORRESPONDENT
In 2016, I worked as the Cardiff Correspondent for the Lyme Regis Fossil Festival.
I was given a tour of the basement vaults in the National Museum of Wales, and was given a lesson in the history of the artefacts held there.
From this information, I wrote a double page feature on the artefacts, especially those that were making the trip to the Dorset event in the spring, later that year.
This piece was eventually published in the 2016 festival programme.

THE SOUTH WALES DISCLOSURE
CO-EDITOR
In my final year of university, the opportunity arose to start up our very own student newspaper.
I took the role of Co-Editor alongside two other people. My responsibility was a content editor. This included proof reading and ensuring every piece was correct and completed in time for publication.
The rest of the team consisted of two additional editors, section editors, reporters and a sub and web editor.
In a period of nine months we were able to start up and produce five editions of our online-only newspaper, The South Wales Disclosure.
You can read editions of The South Disclosure in the Print Articles section.
